Founded in 1997, INEOS is a young organisation that has grown to become a leading supplier of petrochemicals, with sales today of around $43 billion.
INEOS’ global manufacturing operation specialises in petrochemicals, speciality chemicals and oil products, and comprises 16 businesses, each with a major chemical company heritage. Its production network spans 51 manufacturing facilities across 11 countries throughout the world, making it the third largest chemical company globally.
As a result of its rapid growth, INEOS’ existing online presence no longer reflected the organisation’s size, stature or significance within its markets.
Following a competitive pitch process, MTM was chosen as the sole digital provider and charged with integrating over 1,000 pages and 16 separate INEOS businesses into a single, easy-to-navigate online hub, which would provide the platform for INEOS to establish more mutually beneficial relationships with its stakeholders.
Utilising the Episerver enterprise, CMS, MTM designed and built the new INEOS.com site to provide a dedicated landing area, and required content for each of the organisation’s 16 separate business units.
MTM liaised with representatives from each subsidiary and worked with their teams to create a site which achieved their own objectives, whilst also unifying the entire organisation with a consistent look and feel.
In addition to a complete redesign, the new site incorporates a number of bespoke features including a dynamic interactive mapping solution, live action video, animation and related content to provide a richer user experience.
The new site has seen:
– A 200% increase in web traffic
– A doubling of the average time spent on the site
– A 40% reduction on bounce rate
